I was at Facebook as a Robotics Engineer for over 4 years working on productizing robotics in industrial applications — initially focused on use-cases in data centers and point-of-presence sites. My work at Facebook included delivering a full end-to-end product prototype involving designing and building mechanical (sheet metal, 3D printing), electrical, and software (ROS-based) systems that spun up into a multi-year, fully-staffed program. My role evolved over the years and included leading product and strategy for new feature development, helping push our product through certification processes (UL, FCC), working with contract manufacturers to set up low-to-mid volume production of our robots, and driving the deployment and operations of our products into the real world.
